Meet Chris Barnhill
Chris Barnhill is a Middle Tennessee real estate agent who believes the most important part of buying or selling a home is the person behind the decision. His path into real estate is rooted in trust, education, and helping people feel confident during major life transitions. A member of The Real Estate Collective, Chris proudly serves buyers, sellers, and relocating clients throughout Middle Tennessee and the Upper Cumberland.
Originally from California, Chris moved to Tennessee for college and quickly developed a deep appreciation for the region’s sense of community, authenticity, and quality of life. Those values continue to shape how he works with clients across Nashville, the Upper Cumberland, and surrounding Middle Tennessee communities. He understands that real estate here is not just about property—it’s about people, neighborhoods, and long-term relationships.
In addition to his real estate career, Chris is a professor at Belmont University, where he teaches and mentors students pursuing careers in business and sport management. That educator’s mindset strongly influences his approach as a real estate professional. Chris believes buyers and sellers make better decisions when they feel informed, supported, and understood. He takes the time to clearly explain the real estate process, market conditions, and options—so clients never feel rushed or pressured.
Chris specializes in residential real estate, including homebuyers, sellers, and individuals relocating to Middle Tennessee. His experience spans Nashville’s competitive housing market as well as the unique, close-knit communities of the Upper Cumberland. He understands that no two real estate journeys are the same. Outside of real estate, Chris enjoys spending time with his family, staying active, and exploring everything Middle Tennessee has to offer. You might find him hiking at Burgess Falls, enjoying a coffee from one of Cookeville’s great local shops, dining in Hillsboro Village, or attending a local sporting event. He believes strong relationships—both personal and professional—are built through genuine conversation and shared experiences.
